Diapets - Insulin Administration App
This idea originated from our daily need to manage insulin administration for our diabetic cat. As a family of three, we needed a practical way to record, communicate, and be reminded of the insulin application times. The MVP includes features such as insulin administration logging, notifications for administered doses, alerts for missed doses, user-specific logging, and a detailed history of insulin administrations with filters.
The MVP is currently in use and undergoing adjustments. We plan to make it available to a wider user base once we include features for managing multiple pets and registering new users. Additionally, we are planning to add functionality for managing the feeding schedule of diabetic pets.

Current job
I'm currently working at the EDGE Innovation Center, which is also part of the Computing Institute at the Federal University of Alagoas (UFAL). I started working as a UX/UI Designer in November 2022 in a junior position. After one year with the company, I was promoted to a mid-level position.
In the design team we work on more than one software project and some rare cases of hardware project interfaces. The projects are in the B2B sector where the client (company) already has an internal demand to be met, but we are responsible for offering and developing that solution.
In my time at this company, I've worked on several projects with different clients. I've only provided an overview of a few screens, respecting the confidentiality of the client's information.

Managing the couple's expenses
My partner and I used to record our expenses randomly, almost always on WhatsApp and often getting lost in the calculations. One person would pay for the groceries, the other for lunch, and these situations weren't always managed properly so that the expenses were divided. In order to find out how much each of us owed the other, we used to start by recording whatsapp messages and we'd end up forgetting something and we'd still have to search through the messages to calculate these expenses. With this in mind, we decided to bring our specialties together to solve this problem, with him being the developer and me the designer of this project.
First experience with B2B
In April 2022, I started working on a project at the Engineering and Systems Research Center - EASY, which is part of the Computing Institute (IC) at the Federal University of Alagoas (UFAL). We ended this project in June 2023.
In 1 year and a few months, I gained valuable experience for my career as a UX Designer. Together with my design team, we learned and established various UX and UI processes, producing screens in a responsive web model to adapt to tablet devices.

My first job as a UI Designer
My first work experience as a UI Designer, I was able to learn a lot about mobile and web interfaces from June 2021 to January 2023. I worked at the startup Sua Formatura (Your Graduation), focused on the finance of graduation contexts.
My first design project
Like everyone who starts out on a design career, it takes practice. It was no different with me, but my beginnings were marked by the need to innovate and create non-traditional designs that were also aimed at my art practice.
Exploring these possibilities, my first project focused on my own daily environment and my own needs, placing me as a persona on this journey. I created a project aimed at recording my stock of groceries in an app. It was this project that opened doors for me to get my first job as a UI Designer.
